A couple of sibs still in eastern Massachusetts.

Thom and I both played trumpet in the Jonas Perkins band upstairs in the auditorium.  He

was a good player, and a very smart guy.  It's always a sad day when one of us passes.

My condolences to his family.

I didn't see him in person but, I did get to have a couple of great phone conversations with him.  I always enjoyed his writings,  they gave food for thought, and were well done.  He will be missed.

Happy birthday to you, I was in Miss Bell's class at the same time you were in Mr. O'hara's class at Jonas Perkins. I don't think I knew you then, I do remember your face from High School. I did something similar to what you are currently doing. I tutored students in English at a local community college for a few years, most of them were immigrants from Latin America.

Norman and I lived in adjacent neighborhoods in East Braintree.  We played together as children,but

drifted apart as we became teenagers.  He was a nice guy that I had hoped to have conversation with

at the next event.  Makes me sad to lose another one of us.

I'm not going to attend the 70th after all! My flight's been cancelled as I was also flying to Norfolk, VA to visit family. I hope to see plenty of photos and videos. I'm not happy about this, as I was very much looking forward to the evening.
